Juan Zamora

Juan Zamora is a bio-artist whose body of work is developed in the interdisciplinary space between art, science, music and social practice from an ecological perspective, placing life at the center of his discourse.

He has held fellowships at The ISCP of New York, The Nirox Foundation of Johannesburg, Lugar a Dudas of Cali, The Royal Academy of Spain in Rome, La Casa de Velázquez of Madrid or the USF of Bergen, among many others. He was recognized with the Princess of Girona National Award for Arts and Letters (2017).

His work has been exhibited in centers such as The Smithsonian’s Hirshhorn Museum of Washington, The National Museum and Research Center of Altamira, La Galería Nacional de Costa Rica, NC-Arte Foundation of Bogota, The MoCA Museum of Taipei, La Tabacalera of Madrid or La Fundación Sorigué, as well as he has participated in several biennials such as Manifesta (Europe) or La Bienal del Bioceno (Ecuador).
