Floating states
Suspended time is typical of floating states where there seem to be no recognisable images as matter is wandering and vague. The shapes are still forming and imprecise in a constellation both embryonic and western (that place where the sun goes down). That is why Bonacci spreads solidified figures over the paper, forming layers which cover a part of the drawing downwards while making the form grow upwards.
